Thanks to all the parents that brought tasty snacks and treats to help us celebrate gratuation and advancement at our Pack meeting on Tuesday.
The cub scouts of Pack 24 are very fortunate to have such involved and supportive Akeylas. The dedication of the parents of Pack 24 has helped us grow into one of the largest groups of cub scouts in the entire Voyageur Trace district.
Over the summer we will be planning our activities and would like to know if you, or someone you know, would be willing to lead an activity, demonstrate a skill or present anything fun or interesting at an upcoming pack meeting or campout. Examples of past parent presentations include:
- David Hilp showing his military memorabilia,
- Lt. Col. Shawn Cochran the USAF search & rescue helicopter pilot
- Mark Janopoulous demonstrating forestry techniques and chain saws
In addition to scout parents, we have been able to arrange for visits from video game designers, police dog handlers and local artists. Let’s not forget the crash course in Tae Kwon Do instruction that we received last fall! These presentations and demonstrations are hugely interesting for the boys, and a major reason why we have pack meetings.
So if you are willing to give a demonstration, presentation, talk or even an act / performance, please let us know by filling out the attached form. Please also feel free to discuss your interest with any pack leader.
Thanks for your continuing support.
