We’ve rescheduled our annual bike hike from the end of the school year, and we’ve made it better than ever. The bike hike is Sunday October 3 beginning at 10:00AM and we’ll be riding the I&M Canal Heritage Trail in Willow Springs.
We’ve arranged transportation for your bicycle if you need it. Meet us on Sunday October 3 at 8:30AM behind Hauser / Central (on the blacktop) and we’ll load your bike in the trailer and haul it down for you.
We’ll start our bike hike at Columbia Woods Grove #2 in Willow Springs at 10:00AM on Sunday. There are several bike trails available, of varying lengths: ride as much or as little as you want. Lunch will be provided and will include Subway sandwiches, cookies, water and lemonade. We’ll meet back at Grove #2 at 12:30 for lunch.
The Cook County Forest Preserve District requires children under the age of 14 to wear a bike helmet.
If you’d like to join us for this bike hike, we need you to sign up online here by midnight on Wednesday (so we have enough time to shop.)
The cost for the bike hike is just $5. Don’t worry about the payment now; you can bring it to the next pack meeting, den meeting, or we can send out invoices that you can pay online. With the short time before the bike hike, we’d rather just make sure you can join us than worry about the money.

I will send definitive driving directions to anyone who signs up for the bike hike, once I figure out exactly where the entrance to Columbia Woods Grove #2 is. 🙂
