The Pack 24 cub scouts have been invited to participate in several Memorial Day programs to honor all veterans. If your scout is available to participate in either of these ceremonies, they should wear full “class A” uniform with neckerchief and slide. Hats are optional but appropriate.
Village of Riverside: At 10:00am on Monday, May 30th the Village will have a ceremony in Guthrie Park in downtown Riverside. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be at St. Mary’s Parish.
Central School: Any Pack 24 scout that attends Central is welcomed to participate in a program on Friday, 5/27/16 at 8:30AM. Scouts should go to their class room first, but will then be granted permission to go outside early to the flag pole to prepare for Central’s Memorial Day Service. After the service, scouts will return to their school with the rest of their classmates.
Blythe School: Any Pack 24 scout that attends Blythe is welcome to participate in a program on Tuesday, 5/31/16 at 8:30AM. Scouts should go to their classroom first and will be given additional instructions upon arrival. After the service, scouts will return to their school with the rest of their classmates.
Ames School: Any Pack 24 scout that attends Ames is welcome to participate in a program on Thursday, 5/26/16 at 8:30AM. Scouts should go to their classroom first and will be given additional instructions upon arrival. After the service, scouts will return to their school with the rest of their classmates.
