It was great to see all of our friends from scouting at the Summer Picnic last Sunday. We had over 100 people attend and enjoy launching bottle rockets, an epic water balloon fight, a bouncy obstacle course and of course burgers and brats hot off the grill. Tim Ozga wants to thank everyone that helped him set up, and run this picnic and the games, it sure gets everyone ready for another great year of cub scout activities.
Speaking of pack activities, be sure to join us for our first pack meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 8 at 7pm in the RPC social hall. We will have a special guest entertainer join us to put on an entertaining and educational show featuring the science of bubbles. We’ll also recap our summer activities, talk about upcoming events such as Warren Dunes and the MSI Overnight in November. Invite a friend to come to this fun meeting to learn more about cub scouts.
And speaking of Warren Dunes, please register and pay before the September Pack Meeting. The trip is September 11-13 and is a lot of fun since we spend nearly all day exploring the dune or playing on the Lake Michigan beach. This is a great value since the cost is just $15 for scouts (and siblings) and $30 for adults. Click here for all the details, or just click here today to register.
