Its time for back to school, and that means we’re gearing up for another great year of cub scout activities.
Our first pack meeting of the year will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, September 10 at the Scout Cabin in the Indian Gardens (off Fairbank Road) in Riverside. At this meeting, we’ll recap all of our summer activities, kick-off our important popcorn campaign, and then head outside for a good old-fashioned campfire. At the campfire we’ll have a few scout songs and of course, a treat of s’mores.
We are planning a great year of activities, so please mark your calendars for the following dates: (these are also available on our pack calendar on this website)
- October 8: Pack Meeting at RPC, special visitor planned
- October 25-26: Overnight at Brookfield Zoo
- November 12: Pack Meeting at RPC, Bobcat Ceremony for new scouts
- November 16-17: Overnight at Legloland in Schaumburg
- December 10: Pack Meeting at RPC, distribution of Pinewood Derby Cars
- January 25: Pinewood Derby
- February 23: Blue & Gold Banquet
- Dates for events in March through May will be confirmed soon
You will be hearing from Den Leaders very soon regarding meetings for specific scout ranks. We’ll also update the calendar for popcorn site sales dates and other fun activities.
