Grab your Cub Scout Six Essentials and hiking stick and join us at 1 pm Sunday, March 22nd, for a Pack Geocaching Hike at the Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center (9800 Willow Springs Rd, Willow Springs, IL 60480). Sorry, no pets allowed.
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor adventure that is happening all the time, all around the world. Learn more about Geocaching and create a free account to track your finds at geocaching.com.
Before the hike, we’ll solve the puzzle cache GC20YJ9 Critter Quiz Cache (Mystery Cache) near the nature center, and add its location to our map for our hike.
The hike will include two loops. We’ll begin by taking the left‑most curve of the blue trail (1.21 miles) to find GC1QNW1 Slough Down – Long John (Traditional Cache), then head south to search for GCB7YX2 Intersection 7 (Traditional Cache) on the green trail (0.7 miles). If conditions are right, we might even be able to hunt for GC80RYD Winston Churchill #1 (Traditional Cache) and take the more direct yellow trail back.
Be sure to also visit The Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center, open 9 am to 5 pm, which is full of exhibits, activities, and live animals.
