Dozin’ with the Dinos at the Field Museum
Dates: Saturday, January 31st – Sunday, February 1st
Cost: $45 per scout, $90 per adult/sibling
See the Field Museum in a whole new light! Families and groups with kids ages 6 to 12 can spend the night at the museum during Dozin’ with the Dinos.
Stay up late with scientists as the Field Museum comes to life in games, challenges, and stories throughout the night. Will you dissect owl pellets and identify animal tracks to become the next great wildlife detective? Or, will you embark on a paleontologist’s expedition to uncover and identify fossils? Take on these adventures and more with one of the Field Museum’s dinosaurs as your guide. Then, grab your flashlight and explore the halls as the lights go out. This is a night at the museum you won’t forget!
Additional information will be provided to registered participants, but you can also watch this video and read more here. Arrival time is 5:30-8:00 pm on Saturday. An evening snack as well as continental breakfast are included in your registration fee. All personal belongings must be cleared from our group’s sleeping area by 8:30 am on Sunday morning. Discounted parking is available. If you and your Scout want to explore the museum on your own on Sunday, museum entry for the day is included, but you will need to pay for Sunday parking. Pack leaders will depart at 9:00 am on Sunday, so any additional time you spend at the museum will not be considered part of the Pack event.
All participants (Scouts, adults, and siblings) MUST have a current BSA health form on file with our Pack. All adults staying overnight are also REQUIRED to complete Safeguarding Youth Training (if not current). This 90 minute webinar can be completed on your own by creating a free account at my.scouting.org.
