Over 32 families have signed up for the Pack 24 Overnight at the Brookfield Zoo next month. We’ve slightly exceeded our reservation level and are currently negotiating with the zoo officials so our entire group can attend. Our Pack’s success in fund-raising is an imporant part of how we can reduce the cost of these kinds of outings.
A few families have asked how they can sell popcorn to friends and family who don’t live nearby. The answer is online sales orders. The process is as follows (see also this schematic):
- Login to Trail’s End: http://www.trails-end.com/
- Click on “SCOUTS-LEADERS-COUNCILS”
- Click on “Create an Account”
- Follow instructions from there
- Council: Des Plaines Valley
- District: Voyageur Trace
- Unit: Pack 3024 Riverside Presbyterian Church
- See also this step-by-step guide for a further walk-through. On line account information
We are returning to the Walgreen’s in Lyons this weekend (Sept 28 and 29) for what will likely be our final site sale of 2013. This is a great way to earn some additional credits towards your scout’s selling goals (and related prizes). If you haven’t participated in a site sale, please click here to check out the available time slots. (or cut & paste: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040E4CADAA2DA20-popcorn/5638580)
- We need help Saturday from noon to 1pm and also the 2pm to 3pm shift.
- Only three shifts are filled for Sunday. We had to cancel last Sunday’s site sale due to low participation, and hope we don’t have repeat that this weekend.
