Make sure you have marked your calendar for these upcoming Cub Scout events:
- February 2, Scout Sunday. All Pack 24 cub scouts, and their families, are invited attend RPC on Scout Sunday, February 2. RPC’s service begins at 10:00 a.m. with Coffee Fellowship to follow in the Social Hall. Any Scouts who would like to serve as ushers for the RPC service and have not already volunteered can contact Carrie Staubus at carriestaubus@earthlink.net. Scout families who would like to provide treats for the coffee hour after the service are invited to drop them off in the Social Hall kitchen of the church any time between 9:00 and 10:45 am. Thanks for your contributions & hope to see you there!
- February 15, The Polar Prowl. This is an event sponsored by the Des Plaines Valley Council so there will be dozens of scouts on hand from packs all across our area. This event runs from 9am to noon and is located at Bemis Woods – South, Western Springs, Illinois, (NW corner of Wolf & Ogden-Enter off Ogden Ave). Activities include sledding, hikes, tug-of-war, hot chocolate and each scout that participates will receive a free patch. The cost is $5 per scouts and $3 for adults, please email us at pack24riverside@gmail.com if you and your scout are interested in attending. The deadline to register is February 7.
- February 23, Blue & Gold Banquet. Details will be coming your way very soon. This year’s banquet will be a the Riverside Golf Club.
