4th of July Parade & Lemonade Stand

Pack 24 has a long-established tradition of marching as the color guard for Riverside’s 4th of July parade and then serving up fresh-squeezed lemonade at the party that follows in Guthrie Park.

All Pack 24 scouts are invited to participate in these fun events.  All scouts that register will receive a sweet patch to commemorate their service.

More details for the parade logistics will follow (when Riverside provides them to us).  A thank you to leaders Jeff Lukas, Mike Murphy and Bill Schlesser for marching with the scouts.

We also give a huge tank you to Karen and Mike Ryan are co-chairing the lemonade stand.  This is a very important fund-raiser for the pack and last year’s net proceeds represented nearly 10% of our annual budget.  We especially need some parent volunteer help with the preparation, set-up and clean-up for the lemonade stand.  Scouts have a lot of good, sticky fun squeezing the lemons and serving the drinks, and some parental help will help ensure this is a huge success.
