It’s our last pack meeting of the year, and I don’t want you to miss it. Here’s what’s going on.
- The Des Plaines Valley Council will have a DVD presentation about summer camping opportunities for 2011. In the past, the presentation has been given to us too late to take advantage of the discounts for early sign-up. This year, we’re doing it earlier and we’ll have some scouts who went to summer camps over the past couple years share their experiences. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy the new presentation and join us for camping next year.
- We’ll be handing out Pinewood Derby kits so you can get an early start on your car. The Pinewood Derby will be held Saturday January 29, 2011. Scouts, bring a car from a prior year if you’d like to show it, and be prepared to share your car-building tips with newer scouts.
- Our Kernel, Bruce Robertson, will be on hand to give us an update on the outstanding job you’ve done with popcorn sales this year. I think there will be some prizes on hand, and I understand top sellers will be able to throw a pie in the face of a leader of their choice. (Leaders, please dress accordingly.)
