How to Make a Water Propelled Rocket

We have the opportunity to launch water propelled bottle rockets at Cantigny on Saturday. The pack has everything we need to launch the rockets, except the rockets, which is where you come in. All you need is one or two 2 liter pop bottles (1 liter bottles work as well), some duct tape, some scraps of cardboard, a hot glue gun or other adhesive, and a knife or scissors. Full details are available at Instructables.com.

Here’s a good template for just the fin in case you want to experiment in step 2 a little bit.

If you don’t have the opportunity to make a rocket before camping on Saturday, just bring your empty 1 or 2 liter pop bottles and we’ll have the supplies available to ensure you can make a rocket.
