Fishing Opportunity at Cantigny

We have the opportunity to go fishing at Cantigny on Sunday morning April 18, from dawn until 8:30AM. Located at the northeast corner of the McCormick estate, Schaffner pond has bluegill, bass, catfish and carp. Cantigny offers two different fishing programs (Introduction to Fly Fishing and Regular Fishing), but we need to let them know how many people are interested in fishing.

Please reply to this email or your den leader if you are interested in going fishing.

For the introduction to fly fishing, they provide all the equipment. For regular fishing, you supply your own bait and tackle. Both fishing programs start at dawn and last about 2 hours (until 8:30AM.) Anyone over the age of 16 needs an Illinois Fishing License ($15 for the year.) All fish must be released back into the pond.
